The Victorian Security of Payment adjudication legislation is the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 which came into force in 2002.
The Act was amended under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Amendment Act 2007 which significantly changed the Act but maintained a similar framework to other East Coast schemes.
